What is kombucha?

Known to mankind for over 2,000 years, kombucha is a natural drink based on fermented tea with a Japanese tea mushroom. It is a source of organic acids and many minerals such as: zinc, magnesium, calcium, iron and copper. It’s pleasantly sour and slightly sparkling.Is kombucha right for you?


Yes, if you want to consciously use the beneficial properties of living probiotic drinks. Or perhaps you want to cleanse your body in a natural way, or you are looking for the so-called elixir of youth? We recommend kombucha for adults who are healthy and do not suffer from advanced diseases of the digestive system or kidneys.Which kombucha is the best?The best kombucha is made from ecological ingredients, it’s unpasteurized and full of intense flavour. Natural sediments may form. Best when served chilled.

What about sugar in kombucha?

Kombucha contains trace amounts of sugar, which makes it an ideal drink for people on low-carb diets or those who want to stay in shape. The addition of some sugar is necessary in the preparation process, otherwise fermentation process would not be possible.

Natural unpasteurized kombucha should be kept in the refrigerator both before opening and afterwards so that its taste and health-promoting properties can be maintained. It will be perfect for consumption for many weeks. You may notice sediment in the bottle or a new fungus forming. It's all good! Such changes do not affect the taste and are the evidence of a high-quality kombucha.

What is the expiry date of kombucha?

Does kombucha contain alcohol?

In a homemade fermentation process, kombucha can contain up to 2% alcohol but it’s usually below 0.5%. However, even this amount is not recommended for pregnant women, children or people struggling with alcohol addiction. Therefore, we don’t recommend kombucha for these groups.
