Kvass is said to be the best health recipe. Why?
When and how should you drink kvass?
We always drink it in the morning, on an empty stomach and - what is important - regularly. Start with a small amount to get your body used to live cultures of good bacteria. You can gradually increase the dose and drink even a glass or more a day. If you are stressed, sick or take any medications, even for a short time, be sure to take care of yourself and supplement your diet with natural probiotics.
HOW IS SAUERKRAUT JUICE DIFFERENT FROM BEET KVASS?
Both drinks are rich in probiotics but differ in the composition and content of microelements. It is worth drinking them in turns as they complement each other perfectly. Cabbage contains natural substances called phytoncides that kill bacteria and fungi. Both drinks have positive effect on hair, skin and nails and act as a natural isotonic drink.
No, fermentation process does not equal pickling. We only use natural brine for fermentation so that our vegetables can ferment peacefully all season long.
IS THERE VINEGAR IN FERMENTED FOODS?
WHEN IS THE FERMENTED FOOD READY FOR EATING?
Even within a week of preparation! The vegetables are then crunchy and have a more distinctive taste. Longer fermentation softens them and renders the flavour more acidic. To each his own!
DO WE RECOMMEND FERMENTED PRODUCTS FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, FEEDING MOTHERS AND CHILDREN?
Of course! Why? Thanks to all their benefits, fermented vegetables are great for everyone. Pregnant women will appreciate the high content of folic acid in fermented foods. Children will have extra help in supporting their immunity. Fermented foods will also improve gut bacteria. Therefore, it is highly advisable to start getting used to them as early as possible, treating fermented products like a regular part of one’s diet. With the youngest in mind, we have created a uniquely delicate version of kimchi.
KVASS IS BUBBLING OVER? FERMENTATION IS RUNNING OUT OF THE JAR?
Don’t worry, it's normal! This is how live products behave. Fizzing or strong gassing is a natural effect of proper fermentation. It can get quite lively in the event of changes in storage temperature. Best open the products when chilled.
HOW TO STORE FERMENTED PRODUCTS?
Our products are not pasteurized. They need to be kept in a cool place before and after opening. Just like sauerkraut and gherkins in our grandmothers' cellars, they can be stored for months. Constant low temperature is key. And after opening? It doesn't matter. If there is no mildew forming, it’s good to eat.
